Roll Call:  Wendy Bredow, Mark Berry, Margaret Bortko, Gus Martinez

Meeting minutes read and passed.

Old Business:

Fire Department Paid Position:  Motion made by Gus:  “That the board recommend the creation of a paid Fire Chief position utilizing the State of Alaska Volunteer Fire Chief Position Description, with a salary range of $20,000 to $40,000 a year depending on experience.”   Seconded by Margaret.

Passed unanimously.

ARFF Contract:  Mark made a motion that the city council accept the ARFF contract with the State of Alaska.  Seconded by Gus

Passed unanimously.

Budget  update: No action taken

Fuel Oil Stand repairs: No action taken

New Business

Purchases:  No action taken

Fire Chief Report:

Fire Chief completed a close out session with Mossy to continue the basic operations of the office.  May hire Corvid  to help work out with the Computers.  Mark will be to working with the Pre-School and the Gustavus School to celebrate Fire Prevention Week October 5-9.  Mark will be working with Zack to determine the scope of work needed to repair  Engine 7.  Mark will announce a contract to finish the repairs of the Bathroom at the Fire Hall.

EMS Captain Report:  Margaret got everyone’s TB test completed.
