Disposal & Recycling Center Committee
The DRC committee oversees the Disposal and Recycling Center and the Community Chest. The mission of the Gustavus Disposal & Recycling Center and Community Chest is to reuse locally or to recycle as much material from the community's waste stream as possible. What cannot be reused or recycled is disposed of in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

We need one more member for the DRC Committee. The Committee plays an important role working with the DRC Manager to improve DRC services to our community. News
CIP Request: The DRC Committee is preparing a new CIP request for 2013. We were not successful last year in our request for funding for an office, a hazardous waste storage and processing unit, and a replacement skid-steer loader. We are re-writing our requests for those items, which changes particularly to the office request. We are also asking for funding for a building expansion and other improvements this year. We are separating the requests into individual items this year to make it easier for the Legislature to evaluate and compare them.

Meetings
DRC Committee meetings are open meetings, and we encourage all interested parties to attend. Meeting time, location and agenda is posted at least 5 days in advance on the City's bulletin board at the Post Office, and online on the City web page Committee Meeting Schedule.
