Library Board Minutes April 10, 2009
Minutes approved June 1st 2009
Attendees: Chris Spute, Chair, Jaenell Manchester, George Jensen and Lynne Jensen, board members.
Meeting called to order at 9:10 AM
The purpose of this special session is to review the 6 applicants for the Summer Reading Coordinator and Aide positions and choose 1 applicant for each position. Those two names will be forwarded to the Mayor for final approval.
Each application was reviewed, and Chris and Lynne summarized the interviews which were conducted on Wednesday, April 8th.
After discussion of the strengths and merits of each applicant, the committee chose Eileen Clark for the Coordinator position and Heather Sellards for the Aide position.
MOTION: Jaenell Manchester moved that the library board members recommend to the Mayor to hire Eileen Clark as the Summer Reading Coordinator and Heather Sellards as the summer Reading Aide. Lynne Jensen seconded. All approved. No objections.
ACTION ITEM: Chris Spute will write a letter summarizing our recommendations and send it to the Mayor for his approval.
MOTION: Jaenell moved to adjourn the Special Session meeting of the library board. George seconded. All approved. Meeting adjourned at 9:40 am
