  2. Approval to put out a request for 2 large and one small picnic table and one more serving table to be built before July 4, 2006.  If no one volunteers we will pay wages for project.  (One table has been completed for free, $300 already authorized by the City  available.)

Decide who would talk at the City meeting in December and make below list, set up date for next meeting.  .

December 8th City Report

Questions for the City

1. Request permission to put up a 2ft by 1ft. sign that reads Salmon River Park.    We will need to discuss with you the location of the proposed sign.    We will put the funding in our budget for 2006 if we can not get it done before July for free.

2. Outhouse needed down at the Dock.   At one time the dock had an outhouse, so it is not “NEW”.    Campers are camping at the beach and using the area as a toilet.

3. We did not spend all the money we requested on toys this year and would like to use the remainder of the money to PAINT the toys at the park   .   In prior notes the City did not want to spend any money on the old toys

4. We are unable to decide about cutting and or trimming trees behind the covered area in the park.

5. The Parks and Recreation committee would like to request that no more memorial trees be planted at Salmon River due to lack of space and planning

Current Project unfinished

1. Disposal of the merry go round.   We need to leave the merry go round were it is until the next scrap metal barge unless someone has a better place to store it.   The dump does not want the toy brought over early.  We don’t see it as a danger and have decided to put the chipmunk spring toy in another place when we install it in the spring.

2.  A plaque for one of the memorial trees was to be installed but the short story is Oliver’s trophy’s never came thru with the order, so Mary Hervin canceled the order and the subject has been dropped by the board.

3. Make additional table for serving at the park, plan for two new large and one small picnic table to be completed by 2006, repair broken table as well.  300.00 budget

5. Order and install toy Chipmunk.    (ORDER is priority for 2005)  Install spring 2006

             a. Sent order information to Lexa in November 2005   $696.25 Delivered to

Gustavus.   Cost for cement and any labor not included.

             b. Placement of Chipmunk is still under discussion and final approval of City will be requested before installation.

6.  If approved, paint the toys in the park (Not the merry go round) by July 4, 2006.
