Minutes for City Council Special Meeting

August 17,2006

Called to Order – 7:36 PM

Mayor Marchbanks called the special meeting to order.  Meeting is concerning the bid that went out to surveyors.  Ken explained what had happened with the previous RFP, and the lack of any proposals being returned to the city.  Discussion followed on insurance for companies and deadline for using grant.  Becky made the motion “ I move the city council permit the Land Committee to negotiate with and contract for the professional sevices of a surveyor to perform all functions required by the Department of Natural Resources Survey Instructions, ASLS 2005-50 and those instructions found within the RFP GCL – 06-01, in pursuant of ownership transfer of the Gustavus Landfill to the City” (See section 4.16.120 of Gustavus Ordinance)

Roll Call Vote – Motion passes 6-0

Ken moves to adjourn meeting.  Mayor adjourns meeting at 7:46PM
