Special Meeting

September 20, 2007

Call to Order:  A special meeting of the Gustavus City Council was held on September 20, 2007 at 7:00PM. 

Mayor Marchbanks called the meeting to order at 7:00PM

Roll Call:

Comprising a quorum of the Council the following were present-

                Mayor Marchbanks

                Vice Mayor Howell

                Council Member Atkins

                Council Member King

                Council Member Klawunder

                Council Member Nixon

                Council Member Heacox – Arrived in time to vote on

                                                        2007-13NCO

Ordinances for Public Hearing:

§  2007-13NCO  An Ordinance For The City of Gustavus Providing For The Amendment Of The Marine Facilities Budget For FY08.

Mayor Marchbanks read 2007-13NCO.

Motion:                    Council Member King moved that we pass this budget amendment ordinance as stated.

Seconded by:           Council Member Klawunder

Comments were given by Council Member King on the time frame of receiving grant money and paying contractors.  Vice Mayor Howell pointed out the importance of maintaining a budget reserve.

Motion Passes  7/0

New Business:

§Approval of Election Judge Chairman, Election Judges & Election Judge Clerks

Mayor Marchbanks read the list of names and positions.

Motion:                    Council Member Howell moved to accept

                                these 6 individuals as the election

                                officials for our October 2, 2007 election.

Seconded by:           Council Member Nixon

Comment given by Council Member Klawunder.

With no further business before the council the meeting was adjourned at 7:06PM
