Call to Order: A Special Meeting of the Gustavus City Council was held on October 13, 2008 at 7:00PM.
Acting Mayor Marchbanks called the meeting to order at 7:00PM
Roll Call:
Comprising a quorum of the Council the following were present:

Council Member Howell
Council Member Lassister – As of swearing in
Council Member Nixon
Council Member Unkel
Council Members not in attendance: 1 Vacant Seat
Motion: Council Member Unkel moved that Sandi Marchbanks
chair this meeting for the entirety of the meeting.

A. Administration of Newly Elected Officials Oath of Office

B. Executive Session:
(Clerk’s Note: Executive Session was held in accordance with City Ordinance Section 2.30.060(a)(1)
Motion: Council Member Nixon moved that we go in executive
session to discuss the election of Mayor and Vice Mayor.

Motion: Council Member Howell moved to reconvene into the
special meeting.

C. Organization of Council – Election of Mayor & Vice Mayor
Motion: Council Member Nixon moved that the City Council
vote verbally for the position of Mayor and Vice Mayor.

Motion: Council Member Nixon moved that the City Council
nominate Bill Unkel for Mayor.
