Resolution No. 2004-06

WHEREAS, a comprehensive community plan is important to the future of Gustavus; and

WHEREAS, this plan must be created through a public process which captures the values and goals of our community; and

WHEREAS, this use of a special committee will help assure the involvement and views of all segments of the Gustavus population and the user groups, businesses, and recreation enthusiasts; and

WHEREAS, this plan is intended to coordinate future community development, preservation, and service delivery; and

WHEREAS, grant applications and public funding sources require a comprehensive community plan;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council supports the creation of a special committee to hold public hearings and create a Comprehensive Community Development Plan.
