Resolution No. 2004-13

WHEREAS, the City of Gustavus has recently become an incorporated second class city; and

WHEREAS, the City of Gustavus will need additional land to provide for the welfare and vitality of the City and its citizens; and

WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, Division of Mining, Land and Water can provide the City with a Certification of Entitlement; and

WHEREAS, the Certification of Entitlement must be provided to the City prior to any land selection;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Gustavus request the Director of the Division of Mining, Land, and water to provide the City with an Expedited Certification of Land Entitlement as provided for under AS 29.65.030b.
