Resolution of the City of Gustavus, Alaska, creating a public park at the site of property donated by Jay L. and Ruthanne Bailey
WHEREAS, Lots 1,4 & 7 Kearns Subdivision, are titled under QUITCLAIM DEED 2004-01255-0, Recording District 101, Juneau to Jay L. Bailey and Ruthanne Bailey, husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, Grantors Jay L. and Ruthanne Bailey grant, convey and quitclaim to the Grantee, The City of Gustavus, Alaska, Lots 1,4 and 7, Kearns Subdivision according to Plat 74-14, Juneau Recording District, First Judicial District, State of Alaska, on December 21, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the Grantors Jay L. and Ruthanne Bailey request the above described Lots 1,4, and 7, be used solely for public purposes and have not received any goods or services as a result of the contribution; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gustavus is incorporated as a second-class city, a political subdivision of the State of Alaska, and as such is able to accept tax-deductible contributions; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Gustavus that the City hereby creates a public park for the use of the community on Lots 1,4, and 7, Kearns Subdivision.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Gustavus, Alaska, this 25th day of January, 2005.
