Resolution No. 2005-05

WHEREAS, the Community Strategic Planning Committee was originally created as a special committee of the City of Gustavus by resolution dating November 11, 2004; and

WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with drafting a Community Action Plan intended to coordinate selected elements of future community development, preservation, and service delivery; and

WHEREAS, the City Council requires a standing Community Strategic Planning Committee to address additional planning matters, such as updating the Action Plan and broadening the scope of planning to issues outside the Action Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Community Strategic Planning Committee will be responsible for developing a formalized process for city planning in collaboration with the City Council;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council supports the reclassification of the Community Strategic Planning Committee from a special committee to a standing committee of the City of Gustavus.

Passed and approved by the Gustavus City Council this 10^th day of March, 2005.
