Resolution No. 2005-06

WHEREAS, the City of Gustavus, Alaska, became incorporated as a second-class city on April 1, 2004; and

WHEREAS, the Gustavus Landfill became a part of the City of Gustavus on September 9, 2004, and was renamed the Gustavus Disposal and Recycling Center; and

WHEREAS, under the Gustavus Code of Ordinance, Title 2, Section 2.40.150; Committees: provision is made for standing committees to be created and dissolved by resolution; and

WHEREAS, these committees shall refer information to and coordinate activities with other appropriate committees as provided in Section 2.40.150(D); and

WHEREAS, said committee shall follow all provisions as defined by Title 2, Section 2.40.150; and

WHEREAS, said committee shall follow all provisions as described by Title 6.03, Section 6.03.070; “Committee”;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council supports the creation of a committee to be called the Gustavus Disposal and Recycling Center (DRC) Committee, the function of which is to provide advice and oversight to the DRC.

PASSED and APPROVED by the Gustavus City Council this 10^th day of March, 2005.
