Library Server Documentation

The library's main server is a DataBank Pentium II-333 with 128MB RAM and 68 GB Hard Disk capacity.

  • NetBios Name: www
  • IP Address: 199.165.71.87 and 199.165.71.100 (GCA Virtual Server gca.gustavus.ak.us)
  • DNS Names: Primary registered for this IP address is ns.gustavus.lib.ak.us; other DNS names which resolve to this IP address are www, ftp, and mail.
  • Operating system: Windows 2000 Server 
  • Services provided:
Domain Controller for Windows 2000 domain Gustavus

New disks were added and the server was set up from scratch with Windows 2000 by May, 2001.
