Notice of Availability: Request for Proposals FY12-01GCN

The deliverable from the contract will be a technical concept and business plan for a last-mile community broadband network that will last 20 years or more, deliver coverage throughout the community of Gustavus, accommodate growth in population and network use, be reliable and cost-effective, and fit into or contribute to regional and state-wide strategies for bringing broadband Internet service to remote Alaska communities.

Experience and expertise sought include technical, strategic, and business planning, specifically related to telecommunications and broadband networks in rural areas with low population density.

Issue Date: October 26, 2011

Deadline for receipt of proposals: November 15, 2011 @ 4:00 pm, Alaska Prevailing Time. Faxed or oral proposals are not acceptable. An offeror’s failure to submit a proposal prior to the deadline will cause the proposal to be disqualified. Late proposals or amendments will not be opened or accepted for evaluation.
